How does your organization help people between the: Our mission is to promote a safe farm environment to prevent health hazards, injuries, and fatalities to children and youth. We are making sure our farm kids grow up safe and healthy so they can become the next generation of farmers and ranchers who feed
Specify how you would use this contribution from C: By empowering our chapters and outreach coordinators to do more farm safety presentations and teaching them how to share not only the farm safety message, but one of ag-vocacy as well.
Would you prefer to have a workshop donated from M: Our chapters would most benefit from a workshop. However, since they are spread out across the U.S. and Canada, a workshop would have to be conducted via web based technology.

Describe three ways you will leverage this contrib: This contribution will benefit three seperate groups who reach different audiences.

Outreach coordinators: reach farmers and ranchers in 9 states across the U.S.

Chapters: reach farmers and ranchers in 120 areas across the U.S. and Canada

What do you see as thought leadership in connectin: From a farm safety perspective, stories of farm accidents provide for tremendous impact. The difficulty lies in balancing the ethical implication of leveraging a very emotionally charged incident for education.

We have been recognized by several commodity groups and been to several workshops. As our membership transitions and becomes a newer group of Food For Thought’ers I would think a workshop
Describe three ways you will leverage this contrib: I would like to see our speaker series move off of campus once. Maybe into the Kansas City area so that we can really reach a large audience.

I would like to implement our pilot of Farm Tour Fridays and supply our information to other states to follow
What do you see as thought leadership in connectin: We are all passionate about an industry that feeds the world. What more noble career is there? I’m convinced that if people could walk away from alliances with specific commodities within agriculture, we can begin to really hit the consumer hard with this
